Alessi - C.P. Company

The Alessi - C.P. Company collection brings together a series of icons selected from their respective histories: the celebrated Overshirt and several objects related to coffee—a daily ritual that, in Italy, often accompanies the genesis of the most unexpected creative processes. Hence the selection of pieces such as the 9090 espresso coffee maker by Richard Sapper, the Arran tray by Enzo Mari, and the coffee cups and mug by Jean Nouvel.

The products selected for this collection share the same aesthetic frequency—a technical and pure design—and the same experimental approach to materials. Garment dyeing—the process of coloring a finished garment to bestow deep nuances and an unrepeatable character to every piece—finds its parallel in the black PVD finish of the stainless steel crafted at the Alessi factory in Omegna.

This thin metallic layer, applied after manual sandblasting, enhances the material texture of the objects; by retaining fingerprints, it develops a patina that ages alongside the user, making each object as unique as a C.P. Company garment.

Overshirt Collection

The mutual tribute continues in the shades chosen for the Overshirt: Total Eclipse—a very intense blue, almost black—is derived from the C.P. Company palette, while Deep Lavender and Malachite Green are colors sampled directly from the Alessi Workshop. On the products within the collection, both brands are featured with graphics that recall the title blocks of technical drawings and factory culture. It is a collaboration that unfolds the identity and deepest values of two excellences of Italian design.

Under the guidance of the legendary Massimo Osti, C.P. Company revolutionized the industry with garment dyeing. The overshirt is the perfect canvas for this technique: the fabric is dyed only after the garment has been fully assembled, giving it a depth of color and a "lived-in" texture that is impossible to achieve through traditional methods.

"Designing, like choosing an object or a garment to wear, means giving shape to our dreams, fears, ambitions… We recognize ourselves in objects because in them we see ourselves reflected."

What is the essence of the collection?

A reinterpretation of industrial design icons through the C.P. Company language. The collection includes the Moka 9090 in a limited edition (999 numbered pieces), the tray, and the cup set. Each object results from a process that combines international production with finishes made in Italy, such as sandblasting and PVD treatment.

What are the key features?

The Moka is made of 18/10 stainless steel with a magnetic base compatible with induction. The cups are designed with double walls to ensure thermal insulation. The surfaces feature a matte black finish achieved through sandblasting and PVD coating, designed to combine durability with visual depth.

What makes each piece unique and traceable?

Each product features permanent laser engravings including logos, the designer’s name, the year of the original design and reinterpretation, as well as technical specifications. The Moka also includes a randomly assigned engraved serial number.

Can the finish change over time?

Yes. The surfaces are designed to develop a natural patina over time, expressing the authentic character of their use.

What are the distinctive features of the Work Jacket?

Made using a garment-dyeing technique, each jacket has a unique and unrepeatable tone. Available in malachite green, deep lavender (violet), and the iconic C.P. Company color total eclipse (dark blue). Signature details — such as the logo and arm lens — are discreetly integrated on the pocket, inner label, and sleeve.

How to choose the ideal fit?

The jacket features a fit inspired by overshirts. It is recommended to refer to the size guide, considering chest and sleeve measurements, for a precise and balanced choice between comfort and proportion. Indicative measurements (in cm): XS: Chest 81/86 — Sleeve 82/83.5 S: Chest 87/92 — Sleeve 84/85.5 M: Chest 93/97 — Sleeve 85.5/87 L: Chest 98/103 — Sleeve 87/89 XL: Chest 104/109 — Sleeve 89/90.5

What technical details define the garment and how should it be cared for?

C.P. Company and Alessi logos are applied tone-on-tone on the pocket, inner label, and arm lens, while the Certilogo & RFID tag ensures authenticity and traceability. To preserve quality and performance over time: wash delicately at a maximum of 30°C, do not bleach or tumble dry; iron at low temperature (max 110°C) without steam. It is also recommended to remove any detachable elements before washing and to avoid contact with agents that may alter the garment’s surface.

What are the return and warranty conditions?

Returns are accepted within 14 days for the Work Jacket and 60 days for Alessi products. Items must be returned intact, unused, and complete with tags, labels (including Certilogo & RFID), and original packaging.
